The view from the front shows bulge below the abdomen and distortion of the overall shape of the trunk with and unfit appearance even with shapely musculature underneath. Notice the bulge above the belly button as well, a common complaint as well.

This before surgery view shows loss of shape of the entire trunk, worse in the front just under the belly button and around the hips. The aging process has taken its toll on the balance of the contour of the trunk.

Note the flat contour of the tummy, a result much improved without and with clothes. The shape of the trunk is more in proportion than before surgery.

The anterior abdomen is flatter and the skin in smoother. A few months after surgery, the scar will fade and flatten in the next several months. Note that the stretch marks are removed under the belly button but not over the hips.

Improvement in the contour of the core is noted both above and below the belly button. An improved, more feminine shape to the whole trunk is noted with added liposuction of the flanks. Note the stretch marks are still present. Furthermore this result is only several months after surgery and the scar will flatten further and fade in color.

Improvement in the lateral contour of the core is a reliable feature of abdominoplasty. Not everyone is this flat but all improve.
